Nice S. Knoxville Mission bungalow with a great room. Floors were repaired over an old vent, sanded, stained with Early American and coated with a satin oil based polyurethane.
Buff and Coat - Pine
Beautiful little cabin in Townsend. Floors were just worn and dirty. Just needed a facelift...no heavy sanding...just buff, clean and a satin coat of oil poly and presto!
You just wouldn't believe
Beautiful huh. Provincial with a water base finish, but that's not the kicker. This floor was completely covered with BLACK carpet adhesive before sanding.....look at er NOW!!!
Refresh
Repeat customer did not want all the dust and fuss of a full resand but wanted the floors to "pop" again. No problem. A buffing of the existing floor and a semi gloss topcoat and...."Bob's your Uncle."
Staircase on a Staircase
Repeat customer wanted a new set of steps but the problem was that the old set had supports that, without alot of money, time and work, could not be removed. How did we solve the problem? Look along the sides of the treads...yep....we enclosed/framed the old supports and kept on rolling. Beautiful set of steps and risers.
Twins
Homeowner wanted wood from one sun room to match the other that had water damaged parquet. Repaired and sanded one room and installed and sanded/finished the other room to perfectly match. Number 2 grade Red Oak with a Water based finish. Now they have twin rooms.
Stained Heart Pine
After a few board repairs, Colonial Maple stain and some Oil based Satin polyurethane, the floors of this home almost looks as good as they did over 40 years ago.
Go Vols
Floor was water damaged in a small area and entire floor showed wear. Fixed repair and used a combination stain mix of Golden Oak and Golden Pecan with a semi gloss water base finish.
New install/stain and transitions
Cute couples getting into the rental home business. They were ready but the floors in the first home sure weren't. Dark spots galore and the hallway was only elevated sub-floor. Installed new wood, Red Mahogany stain and coated with Oil base semi gloss. Installed custom transitions for the slight elevation. Turned out pretty nice.
Carpet...carpet..we don't need no stinkin.....
Almost the entire home was covered in carpet. Upon taken a peak, guess what was underneath. Beautiful hardwood. With a few repairs and sanding, the end result was beyond words. Oh, we put down shoe molding also to match.

Double Red Chestnut
This super nice family wanted to change the color of there floors from a standard golden/honey color. We stained it up and she loved the color but wanted it a lil deeper and richer. No problem. A second coat of stain was applied and then coated with 4 coats of semi gloss water base polyurethane.
Stained Yellow pine porch and White Pine steps
Wood was installed and was allowed to cure for 2 years. We came in and turned the weathered grey to a beautiful Provincial with 4 coats of semi gloss SPAR polyurethane.

Stained Southern Yellow Pine
Every now and then the stars align and Southern Yellow Pine will take stain and turn out beautiful. This is one of those times. Golden Oak with and Oil based Semi gloss to match baseboards.
Thin Engineered Refinished
Yes, even thin engineered can be refinished and turn out simply beautiful. Gunstock stain with semi gloss water base polyurethane.
Brick Tile Pattern
Homeowner wanted Laminate removed up to a point and replaced with Tile. Floor demo'd and tile on a pattern put in its place with transition.
Enclosed Porch
Prefinished Red Oak floor on an outside addition. Contractor requested a color that would compliment trim and fireplace enclosure. Early American with a Semi gloss water base finish.

Old Heart Pine that was covered with carpet for decades has a new lease on life. Also, the coating that was Spar Polyurethane since the area was somewhat exposed to drastic temperature changes.
Tykote Process on Prefinished floors
All to often floors are cleaned with Orange Glow or Oil Soap or a wax. When this is done repeatedly, a film builds on the floor and only a professional can remove it and recoat. This floor was one such floor. We can in and cleaned it using the Tykote process (dustless) and coated. Floors are beautiful again.
New floors for baby
Great couple that is expecting a newborn wanted the old floors to be beautiful and clean and safe. Mission accomplished. Red Oak, no stain and Water Base polyurethane.
Custom Tile
Tiled walls, floors and enclosure. We tried to tile the light but it got a little to dark. Oh the inlays aren't store bought. All cut and laid by hand
4th and Gill area Heart Pine
Floor is from the 1900s and was showing their age. After sanding and a Cherry finish with a Satin Oil base polyurethane, they are simply beautiful.

Refinished Solid Bamboo
Someone told this customer that the Bamboo floors that he had could not be refinished and that they would have to tear out all of the flooring and lay new Bamboo for about $8000.00 dollars due to some damage. Well...they were wrong and only for a $2500.00 refinish, he was glad they were!
Red Oak Gunstock Water Base
Nice couple in Maryville but the floors weren't so nice. We came in and did board repairs, sanded and coated with High Gloss Water based polyurethane. Floors are nice now!

1902 Red Oak Floors refinished
Oil based Semi Gloss finish on natural floors. Anything is possible. I wish I could look this good at 108 years old.

Downtown Knoxville Condo. Carpet removed and Bamboo glue installed in its place after concrete sub floor repair and the installation of quarter round to finish the look.
Red Oak with Woodfill
This a Wood filled floor before sanding. Wood fill is to older wood floors as grout is to tile. Wood fill or sometimes commonly called Trowel fill, fills small to medium gaps in wooden floors that have opened up over time. Wood filling a floor is the difference between a good floor person and a very good floor person. Now not all floors need wood fill but many do and if the floor contractor includes this in their overall estimate like we do, then they are a very good floor person.
Heart Pine with Stain
Older Southern Yellow Pine floor that customer thought was beyond hope. We brought it back to life with complete sanding and Red Mahogany stain to cover water and pet spots and semi gloss water base. Almost no wood floor is beyond help!
Cherry and Maple
Beautiful blend of Cherry/Maple flooring that had heavy gapping between boards. Floor was sanded and wood filled to give floor a seamless look and then clear coated with Semi-gloss oil based polyurethane.
Parquet
You dont see it much anymore but there is Parquet flooring still out there and it needs to be refinished from time to time. This somewhat difficult floor to sand was sanded and then clear coated with oil based semi-gloss.

Prefinished horizontal grain bamboo after furniture removal and furniture replacement.

Prefinished floor that was resanded and stained and Oil Based Satin sheen applied to the floor.
Multiple species sanded
70 Year old floor that was recently sanded and soon to be stained but I had to get a photo before stain. Not only was the floor laid on a 45 degree angle on all for sides, the original floor installers 70 years ago used Maple, Walnut, Poplar, Ash and Oak throughout the floor. Heck I thought I knew what I was doing.

Red Oak engineered screened
Screening removes some of the topcoat of older polyurethane without removing coloration. Its cheaper and faster that complete sanding and works well on thinner flooring. This is a 3/8 Engineered Oak with Clear Coat Water Based Semi Gloss Polyurethane.
